Diabetes Type 2 (Non Insulin Dependent Diabetes)Insulin dependent diabetes) occurs when the pancreas cannot produce enough insulin to overcome the body's resistance to the insulin leading to elevated blood glucose. Obesity is the most common cause of the resistance so, most Type 2 Diabetes is due to obesity. Can be preceded by glucose intolerance.
